CREW ANNOUNCEMENT Welcome Heidi Mikac - Writer

Heidi Mikac is a filmmaker, producer, writer, and actor based in Bloomington, Indiana. She’s been performing in theater since the age of ten and was an extra in many Icelandic films while she lived in Iceland.

In 2023, Heidi dove deeper into the world of film, auditioning for multiple short films and learning more about the art of filmmaking. Her passion and drive led her to launch Heidi Mikac Films, where she’s written, produced, and starred in projects including Written in the Light, her gripping mini-series Wherein Lies Continue, and her very first slasher film Dasher Slasher.

Beyond filmmaking, Heidi is a dedicated school social worker who uses her acting skills to help children develop coping strategies and emotional resilience. Her work bridges creativity and compassion, making a lasting impact both on and off screen.

Heidi was thrilled when S.J. Hermann invited her to co-write The Legend of Tinker Hell—a story she instantly connected with and now calls one of her all-time favorites.
